A walking tour of San Gimignano

Tuscany -

Walk - About 2 hours - 5€ (ex. suppl.2€) Classic

San Gimignano is a charming pink-stoned city perched on a rock in the heart of the Tuscan hills. Its ramparts are studded with towers rising like spears into the sky. Nowadays a highly frequented tourist destination, San Gimignano is undeniably a historical masterpiece, encapsulating all the characteristics of the Italian City-State: democratic and aristocratic, commercial and religious. So we’ve got an intriguing programme to look forward to as we wander through this medieval city with the help of our audio guide. Once through the San Giovanni gate, our audio walk will take us to the 2 squares of Piazza Della Cisterna and Piazza del Duomo and then we’ll head off down the quieter street of Via San Matteo to the Piazza Sant'Agostino.
