The hidden treasures of the Saint-Paul district

Liege - Saint-Paul district (the Marais, 4th arrondissement)

Walk - About 1h30 - 5€ (ex. suppl.2€) Novel

While the part of the Marais that goes from the Saint-Paul church to the banks of the Seine is certainly less well known than the Place des Vosges, it is nevertheless full of treasures: the only Jesuit church in Paris; the site of a palace for the Kings of France that has become a hidden village of antique dealers; an impressive fragment of medieval walls left from the time of King Philip II; memories of the Marquise de Sévigné; the house of the Marquise de La Brinvilliers, famous murderess from the era of Louis XIV; and several other remarkable sites.
