And what are we going to see during this audio walk? Well, our tour will plunge us into the lavish, ceremonial world of the royal court of Bavaria with its imposing buildings, its palaces laden with history and its wide squares bordered with impressive architecture. First of all, we’ll visit the Royal Residence, which for more than 5 centuries served as the seat of government for the Bavarian royal family, the Wittelsbachs. Even today, it is still the biggest palace in Germany. Then, we’ll wander through the district around Rezidenz Strasse and Ludwigstrasse where we’ll see the fabulous Theatine Church which marks the triumph of the Baroque in Munich as well as the royal gardens and many palaces and impressive buildings such as the State Opera house, the Kunsthaus or arts centre, and the Post office.
