A walk in the heart of the City

London - The City

Walk - About 2 hours - 5€ (ex. suppl.2€) Classic

The City is the financial heart of Europe. It has a very particular atmosphere: a liveliness that combines the past and the future in ways that are both charming and surprising.
The layout of its streets, a remnant of the Middle Ages, combines little churches rebuilt by Christopher Wren in the 17th century, and modernist avant-garde buildings, such as Sir Norman Foster’s Lloyd’s Tower. We will learn about the Great Fire of London, as well as some of the great institutions that will cross our path, such as the Bank of England and the London Stock Exchange. And since The City is not only devoted to finance, we will also visit the Leadenhall covered market and the Royal Exchange shopping center.
