It’s a universe quite unlike any other, with something for everyone. A multitude of furniture in every style imaginable, gilded bronze statues, enormous sparkling chandeliers, mountains of silverware, crockery and china nestle next to vintage garments, and the legendary cake tins and lace doilies we remember from trips to our grandmothers…in short, the simplest items to the most outrageous, many of which would not be out of place in a museum or gallery. With our PocketVox audio walk, we’ll stroll through the most famous markets together as well as a few of the more intimate markets. As we pass through their alleys, we’ll share several stories and colourful anecdotes and if you keep your eyes peeled, you might even encounter some of the many celebrities who love browsing through the “Puces”. Some come from the world of cinema like Catherine Deneuve, Faye Dunaway or Sharon Stone, while many fashion designers also come here for inspiration or for objects to enhance their personal décor, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier or lingerie designer Chantal Thomass, who are regulars in these picturesque market alleys.
