Saint Mark’s Square is truly the religious, administrative and political center of Venice. It thus seems necessary to discover its history and the role of each of its principal buildings, be it the palace of a Venetian procurator, the Campanile, the Clocktower, the Biblioteca Marciana library… or even the popular Florian and Quadri cafes. The object of this guided tour is to help you discover the most celebrated square in Venice, Saint Mark’s Square, as well as the adjacent smaller one, the Piazzetta dei Leoni. Please note that Saint Mark’s Basilica and the Doges’ Palace each have their own visits and are therefore not included in this one.
