Novel
Piccadilly Circus, Soho, Leicester Square, Covent Garden. This may sound like a list of “My Fair Lady” film sets, but in fact these are just the names of London’s most popular destinations for theatre lovers, night owls and artists. These places have a magic of their own – so make sure you don’t miss them! These are mythical places, where young and cool is really at, and make or break fashions come and go. During this audio walk, we’ll be stepping inside this melting pot, where England’s trends in music, clothes and film fashions take shape. As we go along, we’ll be seeing all the major entertainment venues - cinemas, theatres and music halls - their neon lights a blazing, and we’ll be lured into the atmosphere of a truly unique area. A brief escapade into the Chinese quarter will provide a complete change of scene, before we return to the literary worlds of Covent Garden and Leicester Square. We’ll stop off to admire landmark monuments such as Covent Garden Market and the Drury Lane Theatre. And if your eye is caught by anything on the way, don’t hesitate to press pause and take up the visit again whenever you feel like it.
