Prague

City of memory

Prague is a city of memory and everywhere its buildings reflect a rich, eventful history – from Romanesque art introduced by the first Premyslid Kings, to the Baroque, testimony to the influence of the Habsburg rulers of Bohemia. Great poets and writers have lived here from Chateaubriand to Franz Kafka and Milan Kundera. The fabric of Prague is woven with history and legend while monuments and styles juxtapose dazzling the visitor with their beauty.
We recommend starting your visit with Prague Castle, the heart of the city and the Czech nation. We suggest that you then take our audioguided MP3 visits through Prague’s main areas: the Castle district, Mala Strana, the old Town, and the new Town.

It begins on Old Town Square which encapsulates 10 centuries of Prague’s history. It’s there that we’ll discover – amongst other things – the famous astronomical clock in the Town Hall belfry. We’ll then head off to the CarolinumPrague’s ancient university - followed by the Mozart Theatre, before walking up the Baroque styled Celetna Street, to end our tour at the edge of Stare Mesto, beside the Powder Tower and the Municipal House.
