This walk will allow us to discover the heart of old Seville. We will begin at the Plaza del Triunfo and then cut across the picturesque and touristic Barrio Santa Cruz. We will appreciate the charm of its sinuous streets with their sparkling whitewashed walls, as well as the delicious small squares and the shade of their flowering patios. These alleys, will take us further ans further away from the hordes of tourists, to the calm and pleasant corners of the Barrio San Bartolomeo. These two districts (Santa Cruz and Bartolomeo) are emblematic of the traditional urban planning of old Andalucian cities. On our walk we will discover places and monuments that reflect Seville’s rich historic heritage, such as the Plaza de Santa Cruz, which gave its name to the district, the Hospital de los Venerables, or the Gothic arcades of the Santa Maria Blanca Church – an ancient synagogue reconverted into a church. Our walk will end at the Plaza Virgen de los Reyes.
