On this walk we will discover Berlin’s world-famous Museum Island, an architectural ensemble that has been added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. We will see a number of majestic buildings located on the banks of the Spree and dedicated to the arts, the most important of which is the Pergamon Museum, devoted to the art of antiquity. Upon leaving the island we will head to the heart of old Berlin and visit its lesser-known corners, remnants of the early 19th century. We will also see the old Synagogue with its golden dome, and discover an artists’ colony: the Hackescher Höfe group of Art Nouveau buildings. All in all, this will be a walk of discovery, which will take us far from the tourist beaten track.
