A Must |
During the course of this walk we’ll explore the town of Aix-en-Provence. What better way to introduce you to the various aspects of the town and its image than by walking through its streets, admiring its facades, residences and the colours of its markets? Our tour begins at the place de l’Université. Along the way, we’ll be visiting the ancient cathedral of Saint-Sauveur and the place de la Mairie, before heading off into the narrow streets of the town where we’ll come across some real architectural treasures in the form of palaces, fountains and beautifully sculpted doorways. We’ll then come to the place des Prêcheurs, the Villeneuve district and the rue Cardinale with its Baroque architecture. Finally, the tour will end up at the place de la Rotonde, at the end of the Cours Mirabeau, a promenade one has to see as well as where one should be seen.
