A Must |
The Doria Pamphilj Palace is a beautiful example of a princely Roman palace from the 17th and 18th centuries. We will discover 12 of the most important masterpieces in this marvelous art collection: Diego Velázquez’s portrait of Pope Innocent X, Anibale Caracci’s The Flight into Egypt and Raphael’s compelling Double Portrait, as well as works by Alessandro Algardi, Claude Lorrain, Paris Bordone, Guercino, Caravaggio, Titian, Hans Memling, Corregio, and Jan Breughel. In addition to these works, we will be able to appreciate the charm of a human-scale gallery, and will experience the atmosphere of a private collection in which the paintings have been hung in keeping with 18th century style and standards.
