The visit to the Roman Forum allowed us to evoke Rome from its mythical beginnings to the end of the Republican period. This visit, which perfectly complements the first, focuses on the Imperial period. Using the Coliseum as a prime example, this visit will explore the role of the games as a political instrument. In addition, the neighboring Imperial Forums will allow us to discuss several emperors, as well as the evolution in the style of sculpture, a premonition of the decline of Rome.
