On this audio walking tour we will discover the principal monuments in the Quirinal, one of Rome’s seven hills, a quarter that owes much of its beauty to the architectural tastes of the 17th century. We will focus especially on the district’s Baroque monuments, some of Rome’s most important: Borromini’s San Carlo alle Quatre Fontane church and Bernini’s Sant’Andrea al Quirinale. We will find our way to the Piazza del Quirinale where we will discover the Palazzo del Quirinale, the official residence of the Italian President. Finally, we will conclude our walk at the famous Trevi Fountain, magnificent tribute to the beneficial effects of water on the city.
